My check engine light came on so I took my car into the mechnanic. They noted the following: ‘Removed intake manifold and find cylinder three spark plug appears ok. Spin engine over to top dead center cylinder three. Pressurized cooling system and find combustion in coolant. Suspect vehicle needs new head gasket.’ The mechanic said that is a manufacture defect that they have seen with many Jeep vehicles. I called Jeep to inquire, and they let me know that my VIN number is not included in an existing recall for this same issue. The suggested that I reach out to the NHTSB to ask that my car be included in the existing recall.
