The first model of this series, JAECOO J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System), was officially unveiled a year ago. In April 2025, the car set a new world record for the longest range of a hybrid car, covering a total of 1,613.1 km. At the Shanghai Auto Show, OMODA introduced two more models – OMODA C7 SHS and OMODA C5 SHS, which are also based on the parallel hybrid technology Super Hybrid System. Five more new SHS models are planned to be launched in the international market during the year. Also on display in Shanghai was the all-electric JAECOO J5 BEV. The innovative Super Hybrid System technology combines the fifth generation of the 1.5TDGI hybrid engine with a power of 340 hp, intelligent hybrid transmission (DHT) and high-performance hybrid batteries. The car with SHS technology can travel up to 151.6 km on battery power alone before being completely discharged. Fuel consumption during parallel charging is only 3.1 liters per 100 km. Today, the network of OMODA and JAECOO brands has more than 1,300 showrooms in 44 countries and regions around the world, and the number of cars sold worldwide is approaching 500,000 units. The brand plans to expand its geographic presence to 60 countries and regions around the world.
