Description:
When pulling the front brake lever, if it is pulled lightly the rear brake does not light up at all. It has to have a certain amount of pressure applied to it before the rear brake lights up. The rear brake as soon as it is pressed it lights the rear light up. I have had Petes Cycle in Baltimore MD look at this and they have advised this is how Yamaha has this setup, it has been confirmed and reproduced by dealer. This is a HUGE safety issue in my opinion and should be looked into and Yamaha should be forced to fix this. People that are behind you cannot see if you are slowing or coming to a stop and can cause them to run into the back of you. I can personally be able to attest to this because I have had friends and family that I ride with tell me that they did not know that I was slowing or stopping because they did not see any brake lights. They originally told me; my brake light was out. This is what prompted me to even look into this. No warning lights are active on the dash.
