Description:
My vehicle is under the Manufacturer Recall # CB4 (NHTSA Recall #24V-896) On January 1, 2025, while driving on a rural road, all the warning lights for the ABS and Traction Control systems lit up and I lost all braking power. I pushed the brake pedal to the floor, no brakes. I veered off into a field to stop the vehicle. Turned the vehicle off and back on. Still no brakes. I started to drive the vehicle to my house (3 miles away) and after a right turn the brakes locked. The Ram Recall center apologized for the incident and said I would be authorized a rental and gave me a case # but that there was no remedy for my vehicle. My 3rd call to Ram, the representative said they aren’t sure if a rental is authorized, and that Ram would not cover towing my vehicle to the dealership even though the brakes are locked and cannot move. After 3 weeks of waiting, I had the vehicle towed to a local mechanic who was able to get the vehicle back on the road. I am still waiting for a remedy for my vehicle.
