The seat will rotate out of its locked position or lift out of base, if jerked sideways or upward. Would not trust in an accident. Doesnat seem like it with normal use but if forced, it will rotate out of lock. This is unsafe. The force of an accident would be able to throw seat off of base. Company sent me 2 others with the SAME defect. Looked at store models and had same problem.
