on 2 occasions, the car has shut down at a stop and killed the engine. Car had to be placed in park and restarted. Most recently, the car suddenly shut off while moving. The control panel flashed low battery and shut down systems. It disabled the power steering and shut down all power including the engine, thankfully this didn’t cause an accident, but would have been a very dangerous situation if traveling at higher speed . Car couldn’t be restarted, when trying to it would shift itself from drive to park and die again. After about 30 minutes, the car started when jumped. All gauges read correctly and didn’t indicate any low battery issues. When in for service approximately 2 weeks ago, dying at a stop was discussed with the dealer and they said they weren’t aware of any issues and would need to keep the car for potentially weeks to diagnose the issue. That issue was is far less severe than dying while moving. Attempting to get in for service ASAP. Looks like there is already an open investigation into the issue.
