I started getting random ‘service hybrid electrical system’ warnings. The warning would come up and go away after approximately 5 seconds. On 2/5/25 I was on the highway going about 65mph when this warning light came on and I lost power. I still had power steering and brakes, but no acceleration. I was in the middle lane during rush hour, trying to coast over to the shoulder. Luckily I was able to make it without causing an accident. I put the vehicle in park and was able to restart. This happened a second time, but luckily I had just parked and was idling. Obviously, this is a very scary, dangerous situation for a vehicle to suddenly lose power anytime let alone when on a very busy highway. The vehicle is currently at the Jeep dealer, but I have read that this is a very common problem with the Jeep hybrids and ds not sound like Jeep has figured out the root cause.
