This issue occurred when I started the vehicle. Control panel showing Service 4WD and Four-Wheel Drive Unavailable. The dealership retrieved code C14A7-97 (PTU Motor – Component or System Operation Obstructed or Blocked) noting internal damage to PTU…PTU needs to be replaced. Quote to replace over $10K. There is another safety recall for the PTU but this code is not covered. I do not see how normal driving could cause ‘internal damage’ to the PTU and cannot understand how this ds not relate to any already known issues with the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk PTU system.
