The contact owns a 2017 Jaguar XE. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed an abnormally strong fuel odor. The contact parked the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that there was a large amount of diesel on the ground underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with a hole in the fuel return line. The contact was informed that the fuel return line needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred the following day. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included.
