Description:
While driving on the freeway, the vehicle’s driver assistance system suddenly became unavailable. Although the car was still able to move, the transmission would not shift gears. The engine RPMs rose unusually high ‘ when applying pressure to the gas pedal, the RPMs could reach 4,000 to 5,000, but the vehicle accelerated very slowly. I could only maintain a speed of around 50’60 mph. It felt like the transmission was stuck in one gear and the power was not being properly delivered to the wheels. This limited acceleration and loss of responsiveness created a significant safety concern on the freeway. The following day, the check engine light turned on. I took the vehicle to AutoZone for a diagnostic scan, which returned multiple fault codes: P0840 (Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch A Circuit), P0715 (Input/Turbine Speed Sensor A), and P0746 (Pressure Control Solenoid A Performance or Stuck Off). After researching the issue, I found that many other Infiniti JX35 owners have reported similar failures involving the CVT transmission. This appears to be a recurring defect that significantly affects drivability and safety. The repair estimate I received is over $4,000, and the vehicle remains in a compromised condition. I am reporting this as a safety concern involving powertrain failure, elevated engine stress, and loss of acceleration control.
