Description:
SEVERAL LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING, AND THE ACCELERATION stopped at 25 mph: 1. Service High voltage 2. Service Vehicle Soon 3. Reduced Acceleration – Drive With Care I brought the car in the next day. The service center at Honda Mahwah diagnosed the problem immediately. They said it is a valve for the AC system that cools the battery. They know this valve is bad on many Honda Prolouges and needs to be replaced. They said there is a ‘Service Bulletin’ out for this problem. Then they said they do not have this valve and have no idea when it will be available. They did not want my car to sit on their lot, nor did they offer a loaner. I have not driven the car since, and it sits in my driveway, not the garage. I’m afraid of the high voltage problem, and I do not want the battery to explode in my garage. I think the NHTSA should issue a recall so this can be fixed. Pictures attached.
