The reverse lights donât illuminate camera when youâre in a dark parking lot or area. If and when camera is relied on for reverse, you wouldnât be able to see a person or anything else. Itâs a lighting problem. When you are in an area that is lit (dealer parking lot) you can see fine. I also own a 2014 Chevrolet and camera works fine in dark and lit areas.
