Engine compartment hood latch. thankfully, I was at a red light when the incident occurred. While stopped at the light, i heard a loud ‘cluck’ sound. My daughter asked if we were hit, I looked around we were not. I looked at the dashboard and noticed that the ‘Hood ajar’ was illuminated. The hood spontaneously just opened on its own. It has not been inspected at this time, I had an appointment at Ford for an oil change on 4/22/25 and I told them about the incident. I then had to ask them to look at it. they said they couldn’t, that I would have to have an seperate appointment for that.
