The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle failed to respond. The check engine and ABS warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that after refueling, the vehicle started to jerk while driving. The contact stated that once the vehicle while driving at speed, there was an abnormal thumping sound coming from the vehicle. The check engine and ABS warning lights were intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the contact self-diagnosed the vehicle with fuel pump and power train failure. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
