The vehicle, without warning, flashed the message Stop Safely, Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon and suddenly went totally unresponsive. It had shut down within 60 seconds. This was on day 4 of ownership and less than 1000 miles on the vehicle. We were unable to restart, shift, or get the vehicle to respond in any way. Upon reading further, this is the exact issue that over 67,000 of these models were recalled for in years 2017-2023 with transmission replacement as the required repair.
