I recently purchased a 2025 Equinox EV LT1 vehicle. Overall, the vehicle is performing well and has a number of safety features that are helpful when driving. As others have also reported, the windshield glare on this vehicle is a weak spot, and without polarized sunglasses, the glare is often severe and distracting. At night, the use of sunglasses is of course not feasible, and occasional glare from headlights and streetlights can compromise the driver’s ability to view the road and surroundings. Aftermarket dash covers are available, and that may be what I have to resort to to address the problem until/unless a recall or remedy is available from GM directly. This may seem more like an annoyance than a significant safety issue, but when you are unable to clearly view the environment around you when driving, it is a real problem.
