The contact stated that there was a leak coming from the catalytic converter and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who discovered a blown head gasket due to coolant intrusion into the cylinders. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle.
