I had a engine failure in my 2024 Chevy Silverrado Trail Boss1500. I had just exited off the highway and came to a complete stop at the stoplight. When the light turned green, I hit the gas pedal and I did not move. I looked down at my gear shifter and noticed the truck was in park (I did not shift the truck into park). I tried to put the truck into drive and realized the engine was not running. I tried starting the truck and it would not start. The truck would crank, but would not start up. I tried this several times with no luck getting truck started. I even tried to put the truck in neutral to get the truck out of the middle of the road and could not get it neutral to move it. I called chevy roadside to tow it to the dealer. The dealership called me on tuesday and said the engine had blown because of a bearing failure and engine needs replaced. Also, they have not let me know approx time I will get my truck back. They claim there’s a shortages of engines on the 6.2 liter engine.
