The car seat belt was very difficult to tighten. Multiple family members had difficulty tightening the belt snug enough and tightening it evenly. After removing the seat from the car and inspecting it, I believe that the design of the buckle causes it to catch the harness in the glide path underneath the car seat and prevents the belt from being able to be tightened.
