I was scheduled for the 2.2 update (to fix various recalls) on 11/11/24, with a healthy 12V battery, connected to a tender. I left the car alone for 3 days, to be sure that there was plenty of time for the update to be pushed. When I went to drive the car on [XXX], the car would not drive. It showed to be in ‘N’ (neutral), would not shift to park or drive, every warning light possible was lit on the dash, and the ‘pedestrian warning’ hum was sounding. Even exiting the vehicle and locking it did not turn off the infotainment center. I was unable to move or drive the vehicle in this state, and there are NO mechanics in Arizona with a FAST tool, to diagnose or fix the car. I had a former Fisker Master Technician come change the 12V battery (which cost $305.40 for the battery, and $150 for the install), but this did not reverse the above situation. Because it was ‘bricked’, I couldn’t even charge the HV battery to keep the 12V charged, so I had to hook up a 15A maintainer to the 12V, so that the car wouldn’t drain the brand new 12V. The tech also tried disconnecting the HV battery, and reconnecting it, in hopes that it would reset, but it didn’t. With no FAST tools available in my state, I ultimately had to sell the vehicle at a loss of about $70,000. When the new owner tried to have it towed, the front wheels were locked, despite the car showing it was in ‘N’ (neutral), and it had to be dragged out of the garage, and then died (12V, now no longer on a maintainer) in the street, waiting for a tow truck that could haul it with the locked front wheels. I was never able to drive it after the attempted 2.2 update, so never got the recall work completed. I was also never able to get the water pump recall done, either.
