The front cap was not properly installed on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. Yes vehicle is available for inspection if needed. If the front cap came completely separated from passengers side of the the main body it could shift and obstruct the drivers ability to see out the front windshield. If it came completely detached it could again obstruct the drivers view and fall on the roadway possibly in the path of either oncoming traffic and/or traffic following vehicle. Pictures of the problem were sent to Jayco with their reply ‘We do appreciate you taking the time to notify us & your concerns have been documented. This is not anything we have seen on a repetitive basis. Our Compliance Dept. has been made aware & it has been deemed that it is not an issue that would qualify for a Safety Recall.’ The first symptoms were cracking in the paint and sealant along the vertical seam between truck cab and overhead cap.
