When driving home on a rainy day on an active interstate road, 66 west bound lane my truck turned off engine. I was in right hand lane so I was able to coast to side of road. Once stopped the truck automatically on its own went into park. I could start truck but when I put it in gear to drive would automatically go back into park giving warning message shifter autocorrect active. Truck was towed to closest Ram dealership. It was determined third brake light seal was leaking and water ran down to the RF hub module and fried it. From reviews online I saw this was a common issue but it dont see where this is a recall to be addressed. Differently a safety issue when driving and truck turns off. Luckily I was in right lane to get off this active road. I have repair cost receipt if needed. I called my insurance company for the tow. Geico.
