The automatic emergency braking system that works with the rear cross traffic warning is not functioning correctly. It is available for inspection upon request. The braking system brakes when reversing even when the way is completely clear. Its as if it sees a shadow and hard brakes. The jerking motion feels like you hit another vehicle. The problem was not reproduced when i brought it to the dealership but the service center did acknowledge it’s an issue but there isn’t any fixes available at this time. There were no indications for this issue prior and the only way to avoid this is to turn this safety feature offf.
