The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the front end of the vehicle. The contact also stated that the vehicle became difficult to control. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the front suspension upper knuckle joint had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired, and the dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V840000 (Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
