On my 2019 G70, the A/C started blowing warm air and had the dealership diagnosis come back with a leaking evaporator. After doing about 20 minutes of research, I have found multiple forums talking about this failing after about 5 years or 50k-60k miles. I even was able to confirm from the service advisor that the A/C on a lot of early Genesis models come in for the same or similar repairs. For a part that typically lasts 10-15 or the life of the car in most makes, this is extremely concerning, especially living in areas where it is very hot most of the year. I have had the car inspected by the dealer and two independent repair shop and all were able to reproduce the same diagnosis. There were no indicators that this would be a potential issue from my past general maintenance services at the dealership and no symptoms that would lead me to believe that anything with the A/C was starting to fail. One day while driving, the cold air just stopped and was only blowing warm air. Outside of general discomfort while driving for more than several minutes, this is a major safety concern, like I stated above, and being in a very hot environment almost year-round, not having A/C in my car isn’t really up for discussion.
