The contact owns a 2018 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while in reverse(R), the back over prevention camera displayed an upside-down image or a blank image. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was provided an estimate for a diagnostic test. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V315000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but offered no assistance and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
