Positive battery cable went out which is a $1500 repair. It appears that this is quite a common issue. Ford has previously offered a ‘battery cable overlay’ Program 22B39 which appears to use a smaller gauge wire. Sounds like a mickey mouse fix to an issue that isn’t owner related.
