The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 MPH, the transmission intermittently slipped into another gear, and caused the vehicle to temporarily lose automotive power. No warning lights were illuminated. The failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that several unknown parts in the transmission needed to be replaced. However, the dealer informed the contact that some of the unknown parts that needed to be replaced were discontinued. The contact researched and was became aware of an unknown NHTSA recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000.
