There is a safety concern with this car involving the feature that automatically slows down the car when a curve in the road is detected. This problem with the curve detection feature happens when the dynamic cruise control is engaged, with or without BlueCruise being active. At certain locations on the freeway, the car will aburptly brake, slowing the car by approximately 10 mph. When the abrupt slowdown occurs, the driver’s display shows the icon for curve detection when there is no curve in the road. An abrupt reduction of speed on the freeway for no valid reason is a safety problem. This is not a random occurence. It happens every time I drive on I-80 eastbound at location: 41.545369, -93.963420. There is no curve at this location in the road that necessitates any slowing of the car, let alone an abrupt reduction in speed. The dealership found no issues that they could correct and no software updates available.
