Description:
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the fuse block C1 wire had melted and damaged the battery. The dealer replaced the fuse block, C1 wire, and battery; however, the contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the engine made an abnormal sound. The dealer was made aware of the failure, but the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE25001 (Engine, Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,300.
