The contact owns a 2014 BMW 428I. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing a significant oil leak. The contact stated that upon parking the vehicle, the contact noticed that a significant amount of oil was leaking onto the ground. The vehicle was taken to Crescent Automotive, where it was purchased. The vehicle was then taken to C&C Automotive, where a synthetic oil change was performed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the filter, the drain plug, the drain plug gasket, and the air filter were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a local Pep Boys, where the oil leak was evaluated, but the vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a BMW dealer, where an unknown service was performed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 99,099.
