On [XXX] and [XXX], I was driving in the right lane in a construction zone on [XXX] in Detroit, MI when my 2024 CR-V slammed on the breaks while flashing the forward collision âbreak❠warning on my dash. There were no cars at least 500 yards in front of me and, luckily, no one behind me. This happened by itself and no cruise control was engaged at the time. I have had this car since October 2023 and this is the first time this has happened. This was a sunny morning with temps in the low 30s. No rain and no snow. I have yet to be able to reproduce this issue and itâs unlikely that I could, since this happened under normal driving conditions.
