On a brand new vehicle from day one the driver’s side seat belt disconnects at random times despite being correctly buckled and fastened. It happens during standard driving conditions even when simply maintaining a steady speed. This is life threatening for my wife. We have taken it to the dealership multiple times, and they refuse to address it because they cannot reproduce it on their short few minute test drives. I have seen multiple posts from people online facing the same issue. For others it is often in the rear seats, but in our case the issue is for the driver themselves (the most often occupied seat). I do not trust that these seatbelts would protect in the case of a collision when they can’t even stay buckled at a steady low speed. There are no warnings shown and the car is registering no fault codes. Again, let me emphasize, this car was brand new when these issues occurred. Hyundai refuses to address. This is life threatening. All of the information I give below was for the most recent incident, but this is happening daily since we bought the car.
