The vehicle shut down while driving and would not restart. While driving it I got an odd error message then it went into neutral on it’s own then as soon as I stopped to park it shifted itself to park and would not move. Thankfully I was in a parking lot and safe, otherwise it could have been catastrophic on a highway. AAA came and replaced the battery, which did not help. They tried to shift it into neutral so that it could be put on the flatbed but it would not shift. They finally were able to tow it on a dolly using a regular tow truck. Dealership inspected it and found metal in the oil indicating the need for a new motor. It is under warranty but it’s going on 2 weeks and we still don’t have an ETA on an engine. It’s a 2022 Chevy Silverado, 6.2L with 36,000 miles. I cannot get a return call from the dealership GM.
