The contact owns a 2024 BMW X3. The contact stated that while making a left turn at 20 MPH, a warning chime sounded followed by an alert on the instrument panel which indicated that the rear passengers side door had opened with a child strapped in a car seat by the door. The contact immediately pulled over and closed the door. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V106000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages); which the contact linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the recall and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
