I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V499000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. I received on OTA update to address 24V86500 Regen Braking Issues; some 4 weeks later my car is not operable. My high voltage battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car’s 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee’s designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Additionally, I have had a Lane Departure Warning Failure indicator light that has remained on for about 6 months. At best, this is a distraction while driving. At worst, the system has not been operable for 6 months.
