The contact owns a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated while driving 63 MPH, and towing a 15,000 lb. 5th Wheel RV, the contact heard the rear wheels make an abnormal squealing or chirping sound. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle was pulling to the right. The contact adjusted the steering wheel to the left to compensate. The contact stated that the vehicle was losing motive power. The contact stated that the drive(D) symbol was flashing on the instrument cluster. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal; however, the vehicle failed to respond as intended. The contact exited the highway and stopped the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic scanned the vehicle but did not retrieve any fault codes. The mechanic researched online and informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V797000 (Power Train) for a defective transmission control valve. The contact was referred to a dealer by the mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired.
